30-Minute Monday- Skillet Mac-n-Cheese
I love melted, gooey cheese sauce. I love melted cheese sauce as much as I love bacon, and because I love both, I am not only going to share a quick and simple truly comforting Macaroni and Cheese recipe, but also my secret mac-n-cheese bacon topping recipe with you. I’ve thought long and hard and felt the world needed to be privileged with the knowledge of this amazing topping. You’ll never do boring, buttered breadcrumb topping again, nor will you ever make naked mac-n-cheese ever again. I’m taking Mac-n-Cheese to a WHOLE new level y’all. This recipe is so good, you’ll name your next child after me as a tribute. I’m somewhat ashamed…

Creamy Parmesan Garlic Linguine
Pasta. We love our pasta here Casa de Stud Muffin y Real Food Girl. I’m sure it has everything to do with the fact that The Stud Muffin is Italian. He’s also someone who does well on carbs. Me, not so much, so I load up with fat and protein in this dish with copious amounts of aged Parmesan and organic cream. Typically, I’ll make this pasta as a side dish with a Ribeye steak or some grilled shrimp. Holy sadness, Batman!! I just realized I don’t have a grilled shrimp recipe or a steak recipe on this blog. Geesh-and I call myself a Chef. I’d better get on that before they take…

Organic Chicken Pasta Salad
Can you believe that the end of summer is fast approaching? I can’t. We had our last measurable snow storm in mid-May here in Minnesota, so to know that cooler temps are on the way kinda makes me a wee bit happier that we’re moving to South Carolina in 11 days. I realized I had to get the rest of my pasta salad recipes posted before Labor Day. I don’t want y’all to go hungry. This recipe is a favorite of The Stud Muffin’s. This man has never met a cold pasta salad that he didn’t like. Throw some organic peas and chicken in there and the man is happier than a tick…

Lazy Baked Chicken and Rice
Yesterday I shared my “Mmmm Better” Cream of Chicken Soup recipe. I explained that I had zero motivation to make dinner and that chicken and rice baked together sounded quick and yummy. I just wanted to throw a few ingredients into a casserole dish, place it in the oven, and within 45 minutes have a hot, tasty, filling meal emerge. Regrettably my dreams of that meal were dashed when I realized I didn’t have any “Mmm” substitutes on hand on account of the fact I don’t use cream of rubbish soups from a can. Nope. I don’t. And I am pretty sure I explained that ad nauseam in yesterday’s post and in…

Food Hippie Granola
I love granola. My mom used to buy the Heartland brand of granola (cereal) when we were kids. I remember it had very plump raisins and the trick was to hurry up and eat it as quickly as you could before it sucked up all your milk. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a bowl of that granola. I actually thought the company went out of business years ago because boxes of Quaker, Sunbelt and Kellogg’s granola monopolized every cereal shelf in every grocery store where I shopped. Then one day, whilst perusing the ‘take out a second mortgage to shop here’ aisles, I noticed that Heartland was still making granola…

Out of the Box Hamburger Helper (GMO-Free)
Today I wanted to bring back one of my earlier recipes where I felt if it just got a little more face time that you guys would fall in love with it and want to make it. Unfortunately, I only have not-so-decent pictures of the dish. Although the picture doesn’t do this recipe justice, trust me when I tell you that this dish is SO yummy. I even have a friend from back in high school that has made this for her young children a couple of times and they love it! So if they can eat it and love it and not let the pictures scare them, than so can you!

Creamy Mushroom & Beef Stroganoff
Shazam America! This dish is FAB.YOO.LUSS! Hand to God, Scouts Honor, swear on someone’s Grandmammy’s grave FABULOUS! And I don’t like stroganoff, so that is saying something! Beef Stroganoff is one of TSM’s most favorite meals. The man has a serious thing for sour cream. He only eats Mexican food because he’s convinced sour cream exists solely to be a delivery system for the Mexican food. I on the other hand could live quite happily without having sour cream so I’ve always been torn when it comes to making Stroganoff for The Stud Muffin because he loves it and I can’t stand it. That is, until tonight. I’ve changed my mind and this…
