Classic Tapioca Pudding
Do you love tapioca pudding? I totally love it. I don’t like store bought because they’re very parsimonious with their tapioca pearls and in my opinion, those little gems are the best thing about the pudding. It’s like having a jell-o-y party in your mouth. It’s dozens of little baby Nemos dancing in your mouth. Crap- I just lost ya didn’t I? Shoot. I*knew* I shouldn’t have told you that the tapioca pearls remind me of Nemo (fishy) eggs.

GF Fudgy Brownies
Have you ever taken a bite of something and your brain and your mouth explode from the flavor nirvana that is occurring and you’re rendered speechless and consequently need “A moment alone” to compose yourself? If not, I’m genuinely sad for you. But fret no more because these brownies are slap-yo’-momma, shut the front door, awesomesauce, ohmehgersh, mind-blowing, “where have you been all my life?”, SPECTACULAR! Make these and you will have that moment that I just mentioned above once you take a bite of one of these brownies!! I made the glutenized version a couple of weeks back when I had my good friend Towanda the Bee Charmer over for a movie…

Faux-reo Cheesecake Bars
Happy Valentine’s Day fellow Food Hippies! I have a lovely treat for you guys. It’s two of my most favoritest food things in the whole wide world combined together. Cheese and cake. Ha! Kidding. Make that cheesecake and Oreos. “Whaaa? I thought you were REAL Food Girl??” Don’t worry, I am. And I did not use real Oreos in this recipe. Hence the name of the recipe: Faux-reo Cheesecake Bars. It rhymes with Oreo, but not with GMO soy, HFCS and other nasty ingredients. You guys should be VERY happy that the original recipe that I had planned to share with you today had major flaws that could not be fixed even though…

Rich and Tasty Chocolate Syrup GMO-Free
Have you ever had a friend suggest that you make something, and you kind of hem and haw and scrunch your nose up at them? Yeah, so have I. And I openly admit I’m not going to do that again! I might miss out on something superchocolicious! Take this (beyond) easy chocolate syrup. It’s got 5 ingredients and one of them is water! I mean, *who* doesn’t have water on hand? My sincerest condolences if you don’t have any water on hand because this syrup is that good and you’re going to want to eat the whole jar. Hershey’s probably won’t want you to make this, but you should make it anyway. Live…

(Not Half Bad) Peanut Butter Cookies (Organic-GMO-Free)
Do you like peanut butter? I do. TSM also has a fondness for peanut butter. I don’t think he’s ever tried anything with PB that he hasn’t liked except a smoothie. He doesn’t care for PB in a smoothie. For some reason when it comes to peanut butter cookies, there is no love lost on me. I find this peculiar since I really do like peanut butter. I’ll eat a peanut butter cookie if I make a batch, but for the most part I make these because it is TSM’s favorite cookie and I enjoy spoiling him. I probably spoil him too much but he’s cute and stud muffinly, so I don’t see…

Chocolate Ho-Ho Cake- (Organic/GMO-Free)
On Christmas Eve my family gets together and everyone brings a dish to share. Each year I generally bring a dessert. Last year I went all out and made a 6 layer chocolate mousse cake with hazelnut japonaise drenched in a layer of ganache and chocolate shavings. It was decadence on a plate. This year I desired to do something much simpler, yet still really yummy. Enter the humble Ho-Ho. (That would be the snack cake Ho-Ho, not the street walking ho-ho.)

Sea Salted Chocolate Caramel Cookies
Don’t throw tomatoes at me, but this recipe isn’t 100% free of GMOs. I haven’t been able to locate a GMO free version of Rolo’s candy. I look at it this way. On rare occasion, I might eat a Rolo. Eventually I will no longer enjoy the taste of them, but for now, while I do on rare occasion AND while I have family members who have asked for this recipe, I’ve decided to share this recipe because the cookies are too good to not share with the masses. Ya know, after thinking about it, you could EASILY use some organic caramels in this recipe. Just cut them into Rolo sized pieces and…

My First (recipe) Mistake (aka 7-Layer Bars)
Well Food Posse Peeps, I finally did it- I made my first mistake this evening while putting together a pan of 7-Layer Bars to share with y’all. The good news, they taste perfectly fine. The bad news- they’re not very stable, don’t hold their shape, are very gooey AND (whispers) they’re ugly.
